KOBIDO

KOBIDO Ancestral Massage

Kobido is an ancient Japanese facial massage technique that originated in the 15th century.

This technique arose from the collaboration of two Anma massage masters, during which 48 original techniques were developed. Over time, these techniques were refined , resulting in movements and methods that have been passed down from master to apprentice through generations.

Kobido means “The Ancient Way of Beauty”, and its aim is to preserve the natural beauty of the face, while also maintaining the balance of body and energy.

Kobido Japanese Facial Massage

Kobido massage combines fast and precise movements, with deep and gentle rhythms.

Kobido not only stimulates circulation and lymphatic drainage, tones facial muscles, and boosts the natural production of collagen and elastin, but also works on acupressure points. It also improves the flow of Ki.

In Japan, beauty is seen as a reflection of physical, mental, and spiritual health. The face is the most visible indicator of Ki, and naturally radiant skin can only be achieved when your internal energy is balanced, connecting physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

How Does Kobido Massage Work?

After preparing your skin with a double cleanse and gentle exfoliation, the Kobido massage begins a harmonious combination of swift yet delicate hand movements applied to the face, neck, and upper chest.
This traditional Japanese technique enhances circulation, promotes the removal of dead skin cells, and stimulates the natural production of collagen and elastin, essential elements for firm, radiant, and youthful skin.

Renowned for its rejuvenating effects, the Kobido massage helps to smooth fine lines, reduce wrinkles, and restore brightness to the complexion.

For the best results, regular sessions are recommended starting with weekly treatments, then continuing monthly to maintain the rejuvenating effects.
